CAMPBELL is THREE!

Where has the time gone that my first-born is 3 years old now? We had a fun weekend celebrating her birthday with lots of friends and family, and then yesterday, I got to spend some one-on-one time with her with a trip to the Sealife Aquarium, lunch, and shopping!

A little bit about Campbell Grace:

She weighs 32 pounds 6 ounces (73%) and is 38.8 inches tall (87%). She is healthy, active, and we are so thankful for this!

Campbell enjoys her friends, especially Liam, and playing at the park! She is always wanting to be outside! She will sit through any movie...she loves to watch them! She is a singer, and dancer...and always asks her daddy to dance with her when one of the singing competition shows is on! She loves her daddy!

Her thing the past month or so has been to stand on the coffee table and announce: "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I present..." it's anything from her sister and her, to every member of her family, to something silly! She has quite the personality.

She is also getting some attitude. This has been a change lately, and I'm not liking it. Throwing fits, and being a little dramatic....I know it's normal for this age, but we don't have to like it!

She is such a good big sister! She always has a smile on her face when she sees Callan every morning! She hugs and kisses Callie, and watches out for her. She also helps me out with her...which makes her seem even bigger than she is!

Campbell loves arts and crafts. She knows her alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes....She talks like such a big girl....it's hard to believe. She loves to have books read to her before naptime and bedtime! We visit the library frequently!

I know there is so much more, but I'll stop here. I'll end with her yearly questions and answers and photos!

Callan Blair - 9 MONTHS

Dang...the month has flown. I am crazy busy these days with a movin' little baby on my hands! She is officially mobile. She has mastered the army crawl, starting to do the real crawl, and had rolling everywhere down for months now.

Callan Blair, you are my chubby, sweet, challenging baby! You keep me on my toes. You don't want to let me out of your sight. You cry hysterically if I hand you to anyone else, or turn my back on you even if it's for a few short seconds.

You are sick, yet again. It breaks my heart to see you this way. Lots of cuddling has been happening lately!

Like I said before, you are crawling! You aren't super fast yet, but you can get anywhere you want to go. You are also easily going from laying down to sitting on your own now. You are pulling up on things over the past couple days. Your crib will be lowered this month I'm afraid.

You like to clap and dance to music. You also relax when I sing to you which is special for me!

You still just have your 1 bottom tooth. But that hasn't stopped you from eating anything you want. You are kind of over baby food these days! You love big people food. This is coming with a challenge for me to find the right options for you where baby food is quite convenient. You love bananas and pears. I also recently just fed you vegetable beef soup that I made for dinner and you LOVED it! You will eat noodles, fries, puffs, mum mums, really, almost anything I put in front of you.

We went to the doctor yesterday, and you freaked when you saw Dr. G with that stethoscope. We've been there a little too much lately. But luckily the antibiotics are working and your ears look good!

You weigh: 21lbs 1 oz (88%) and you are 29 inches long (91%)!

You are sleeping really well! Usually 11-12 hours at night unless you're sick, but still, so much better than the first 7 months of your life!

It's hard to believe in 3 short months you will be a year old! But you are so much fun right now! Your smile just melts my heart, and I want to remember that gummy smile...with 1 lonely bottom tooth. You are pretty cuddly, especially with me! I'm trying to remember to soak it all in, because most of the time I want to hurry it up, and it will be over before I know it. The saying that the days are long, but the years are short are really hitting home with me these days.

I love you sweet baby girl! You are the best addition to this family I could have ever asked for!

Big sister wanted her picture taken too :)

And here you can see that pout she puts on...

Callan Blair - 7 month update

Yesterday, my sweet sweet littlest turned 7 months old. I am in awe everyday at what she's learned or is doing. She is quite the roller....can get just about anywhere she wants to right now, so crawling doesn't interest her just yet. She has the sweetest smile and giggle. Her big sister and daddy are pros at making her laugh. She's still quite the momma's girl. She wears mostly 12 month clothes, size 3 diapers, and fills out every bit of them. She has rolls for days, but who doesn't love a chunky baby! She is sitting up very well, but can't sit herself up on her own from lying down. Still no teeth. Loves her jumper. Is interacting more with her toys. She can play by herself for quite a while which makes it nice for me, but once she's done...oh she lets me know. She can scream....boy can she scream. She is quite the drama queen. Can sleep through the night, but most nights doesn't choose to. She's eating lots of fruits and veggies. Her favorites so far include squash, sweet potato, and carrots... She still loves the cereal. Would rather have it mixed with cereal than alone...so we are trying to work on that. She has tried puffs  and really likes them, but needs to practice still. She also is getting better with the sippy cup that we introduced last month. She enjoys swinging at the park when the weather is nice. And almost always falls asleep in the car...but only when it's moving. She has gorgeous dark blue eyes and kissable chubby cheeks. More and more people are noticing that she looks like her daddy, which I tend to agree, especially through her eyes, but she still resembles her big sister so so much! Her smile can light up and room and make that bad day just melt away. She can be so serious, and her eyes and eyebrows show everything that she's thinking. When she wants to, she can babble and tell a whole story! Last month she said mama, I know, probably not meaning mommy, but she did pronounce it...she is also saying bababababa a lot this month. She is so active, hardly sits still....puts everything in her mouth, and is just pure joy! I'm thankful for this one.

Callan Blair - 6 months old...1/2 year birthday

I took all these pics Tuesday, but didn't get around to putting together a post. Between the 6 month visit with Dr. G, and a sickly baby, we cuddled and just hung out, the two of us. It was such a sweet day. I love having both my girls home, but at the stage Campbell is, there's not stopping to just enjoy my littlest love.

Tuesday, I made a point to take some pics of her and just remember how she is right now. I can hardly believe she is half a year old already. She is just a sweet girl that still loves her momma. She only has eyes for me most days. She will laugh hysterically at daddy, but she just melts in my arms and I'm pretty much just taking it all in.

Callan woke up with a stuffy/snotty nose Monday morning, but she still acted fine most of the day. The night though was a different story. She was up every couple of hours, and yesterday morning she had a slight fever. We still went in to her well check and just didn't get her shots. She still was happy after some tylenol and food...as the pictures below show.

Callan Blair's 6 month stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 14 oz (89%).
Height: 27.5 inches (96%).
Size 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Callan is hard to contain these days! She's rolling everywhere. She's never where I left her. She still loves the jumper and sometimes that's the only way I can keep her happy. She is still only sitting supported. She will sit for a few seconds by herself and then topples over.

She's got the chunkiest thighs and chubbiest cheeks. She is so sweet and I spend most of my days smiling at and kissing on her! Callan is eating solids too! She's tried apples, pears, prunes, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, and bananas, along with her rice cereal and oatmeal. Her favorite so far is squash, but she has eaten everything! So far, she isn't very picky! I knew it was time to start more food when she would fuss when we sat down to eat and we didn't have anything for her. She likes to sit at the table with us. It won't be long and I will be feeding her off my plate....nooooo....

Callie is still not a great sleeper. She's up at least once a night, but usually twice. I'm needing some strength as I guess we will be letting her cry it out. Not sure what else to do. This is all new to me, as Campbell was sleeping through the night very early on.

Callan is such a sweet baby. I love her raspy voice...it's a sound I never want to forget. I'm excited to watch her during her first Christmas! So many memories to be made.

You have stolen my heart baby girl!
Love, Momma

Callan Blair - 4 Months Old

My sweet girl...4 months old today! You are getting so big and so much fun! You are still pretty dramatic and can get mad so easily, but your smiles and giggles can make that all go away! You are a big girl! Here are your 4 month stats:

Height: 25.8 inches (94%)
Weight: 16lb 11oz (90%)
Size 6-9 month clothes and 2-3 diapers

This last week you mastered rolling over from back to tummy! You have been wanting to be held a lot, especially to nap. I'm trying to enjoy these sweet moments, because they are flying by way too fast!

We got out the baby jumper to give you something else to play in. It is still a little bit big, but we are making it work.

You haven't mastered sleeping through the night, although you've done a little better lately.

You have done fairly well at daycare while Mommy works. You still don't take a bottle well, but you nap pretty good there.

Dr. G said we could start cereal this month. I think we will work on that! Maybe it will help you with some of your reflux and sleeping!

We are so blessed by you miss Callan! Stop getting so big so fast...

Callan - Two Months Old

Well, here we are again. My littlest love is now two months old. She is such a sweet baby. These last few weeks she has started smiling and cooing. Those baby grins just melt me. Nothing will make a momma feel better than her baby girl smiling at her. Even her big sister will melt my heart with her gorgeous smile! Daddy says their smiles are contagious...he smiles every time they smile at him! It's so true.

Callan at 2 months old:

Weight: 13 lb 14 oz (95th %)
Height: 22.8 inches (67th %)
Head: 15.5 inches (83rd %)

You are wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes. You are super chunky, bigger than your sister was at this age. You have slept 8+ hours for 3 or 4 nights and have slept 5-6 hours at night for a few weeks now. You are enjoying more play time on your owl playmat. I've been trying desperately to get you to take a pacifier. Mostly you won't take it...I've only been successful a handful of times. Also, you are refusing a bottle pretty much these days....which stresses me out a bit. You had been taking one so well. You like to nap in mommy's arms...and I'm soaking it in when I can. This month we plan on moving you into your crib...hard to believe it's already time to put the bassinet away. We have had some rough hours almost daily. Just fussy time. It's hard to not be able to comfort you. I wish you were better at self-soothing. I'm getting ready to go back to work in a few weeks. Just a couple shifts a month will be my new schedule, so I'm kinda getting the best of both worlds. I get to be a 95% stay at home mommy and get to keep up with my nursing license. It's pretty much God showing favor. I am so blessed!
