Fun, lazy Saturday with Daddy

Campbell loves spending time with her Daddy! He makes her laugh so much, and the way she looks at him just melts my heart. I enjoyed taking some pics of C with her Daddy today! They started out their morning playing with their legos and then moved outside to the pool, sprinklers, and water table! Such a sweet time! I'm so thankful for these 2 that bring so much joy to my life!

14 months old and counting...

I am having a blast with this sweet girl who turned 14 months old on the 6th. It was a travel day for us, so I didn't have time to get a post done. She is napping at the moment, but since I'm starting this, I'm sure she will wake up and I'll have to finish it later. 

Campbell Grace, you are talking more and more. Your favorite thing to say is Hello! You pick up the phone, or yesterday on the plane home, you waved to the guy sitting next to us and very clearly said Hello! Jacob and I both were like whoa! It was so deliberate and BIG! You also started saying UP yesterday when we were playing with the window cover on the airplane. You would say up after I put it down, and that kept you entertained for a while. On the airplane, you don't necessarily like being a lap child, and I don't like it either. You do much better in your own seat! We are still working on lots of words, but those were the 2 big ones yesterday that you said over and over and clear as could be. Oh, and you have been saying "num num/or nom, nom" whenever you are hungry or your food is good...it's pretty cute...

You are loving to read books. I really like to read them to you. You cuddle in my lap, and it is so sweet. 

You also love to sing songs and dance! You have been doing this for a while now, but you are so cute when we sing the itsy bitsy spider...you do the hand motions and all. You also love us to sing the wheels on the bus!  

You are still a big snacker and love cheerios, goldfish, puffs, and yogurt bites. You are a decent eater, but we could do better, and I am trying to figure out ways to do that. You are great with milk, water, and juice/water.

Your nap times have varied, especially with school and traveling, but you are still the best sleeper ever! 

We go to the doctor next month, but I think you weigh almost 24 pounds. You are wearing mostly 18 month clothes. The 12-18 is fine, but 12 months is waaaayyy too short. Size 4 diapers still!

I love you sweet baby! I can't imagine life without you. You are my biggest blessing, next to your daddy! Here's to another great month and watching you grow and learn, and really just blowing me away!

Happy 4th Y'all!

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy 4th of July! 

I'm on call for work today, but so far so good. Grammy and Grandpa are here, we've already cooked out using this recipe..., had a yummy lunch, and then I made a yummy Chocolate Coca Cola Cake...oh my. If you haven't tried it...you should! Recipe here...

Location: in the living room staring at the monitor with a mad/coughing baby in her crib...(she didn't sleep well today, and although i don't normally lay her down this late, she seems to need the rest; she just gets so mad when she starts coughing...poor baby

Eating: nothing, but excited for grilling pizza tonight!

Drinking: lime water

Watching: flipping through the channels, nothing good is on right now, and our ONDEMAND isn't working. 

Listening: Dave Barnes, Matt Kearney, Colbie Caillat (really Dave Barnes radio on Pandora) :)

Loving: my days at home with Campbell Grace...playing, talking, dancing, singing...she's just a bundle of fun!

Enjoying: summertime! 

Wanting: to redecorate the house

Needing: to clean the house

Preparing: to be on call tomorrow...it's 1 of my holiday calls, just hoping i don't get called in...

Thinking: i have so much to do and i just want to sit and be lazy

Creating: nothing; i need to change that...

Wondering: if we can get to Lubbock this weekend for Thomas's 6th birthday party...STAR WARS theme...his request was that ALL his family was there for his party...dun dun dun

Who does she look like?

I have been meaning to make this post for a while now. Of course, like all parents, we always get asked...who does Campbell look like? I will let you all see for yourselves, but I must say, she is MY MINI ME! 

Please excuse the quality of the pictures...My scanner wouldn't work, so I had to take a picture of the picture. But you still get the idea :) And I also can't find the pictures I had specifically kept out for this post, but these will do!

This will be fun to do as she gets older as well. She is her own beautiful being, but may resemble mommy a little more than daddy; although, she has lots of his facial expressions and I love it! We are so so in love with this sweet girl. She is a blast!
