Callan Blair - 6 months old...1/2 year birthday

I took all these pics Tuesday, but didn't get around to putting together a post. Between the 6 month visit with Dr. G, and a sickly baby, we cuddled and just hung out, the two of us. It was such a sweet day. I love having both my girls home, but at the stage Campbell is, there's not stopping to just enjoy my littlest love.

Tuesday, I made a point to take some pics of her and just remember how she is right now. I can hardly believe she is half a year old already. She is just a sweet girl that still loves her momma. She only has eyes for me most days. She will laugh hysterically at daddy, but she just melts in my arms and I'm pretty much just taking it all in.

Callan woke up with a stuffy/snotty nose Monday morning, but she still acted fine most of the day. The night though was a different story. She was up every couple of hours, and yesterday morning she had a slight fever. We still went in to her well check and just didn't get her shots. She still was happy after some tylenol and food...as the pictures below show.

Callan Blair's 6 month stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 14 oz (89%).
Height: 27.5 inches (96%).
Size 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Callan is hard to contain these days! She's rolling everywhere. She's never where I left her. She still loves the jumper and sometimes that's the only way I can keep her happy. She is still only sitting supported. She will sit for a few seconds by herself and then topples over.

She's got the chunkiest thighs and chubbiest cheeks. She is so sweet and I spend most of my days smiling at and kissing on her! Callan is eating solids too! She's tried apples, pears, prunes, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, and bananas, along with her rice cereal and oatmeal. Her favorite so far is squash, but she has eaten everything! So far, she isn't very picky! I knew it was time to start more food when she would fuss when we sat down to eat and we didn't have anything for her. She likes to sit at the table with us. It won't be long and I will be feeding her off my plate....nooooo....

Callie is still not a great sleeper. She's up at least once a night, but usually twice. I'm needing some strength as I guess we will be letting her cry it out. Not sure what else to do. This is all new to me, as Campbell was sleeping through the night very early on.

Callan is such a sweet baby. I love her raspy voice...it's a sound I never want to forget. I'm excited to watch her during her first Christmas! So many memories to be made.

You have stolen my heart baby girl!
Love, Momma

Thanksgiving Recap

Yes, I realize I'm just getting our Thanksgiving recap up, and it's almost Christmas, but hey, at least I'm getting it done. This blog has been such a blessing to look back on and it doesn't matter if I didn't blog on the exact day, I'm just happy to have these precious memories to look back on!

For Thanksgiving we headed out to Burbank, California! Jacob's younger brother, Aaron, has lived out there for 5+ years and this was our first trip to see him. Jacob's parents met us out there. We really had such a great time. The girls were a little sickly, but overall traveled and did well! California was beautiful! It was a whirlwind trip, and not a relaxing one chasing 2 kids, but we had such a great time. I can't wait to go back and see more!

Nini, Papa, and Aaron really made Campbell's year with a trip to Disneyland! It was sooooo fun and we couldn't have asked for better weather! Just a day trip there makes me so excited to visit Disney again when both of the girls are older and can enjoy it even more. Enjoy some of the pics I got. All were from my phone. I was so mad at myself for not bringing my bigger camera.

We definitely have so much to be thankful for this year!

My girls and me on the airplane!

Campbell Grace had the best view...on top of Papa's shoulders!

Campbell loves Minnie Mouse!

Kisses for Mickey!

Oh, she loved the princesses! Such wonder :)

And the parade to end the day couldn't have been any better! I love seeing the wonder in their eyes!

Lately...(with one 1 picture, sorry)

So, yes, I realize I am sooooo far behind on blogging. I am struggling to find the time to sit down and get the pictures from my phone or camera into the computer and then...into the blog.

I have so much to share, from our Thanksgiving in California recap (with a Disneyland visit) to my 30th birthday and the Justin Timberlake concert, to Campbell starting gymnastics class and Callan Blair getting ready to turn 6 months old! My world is flying by over here, especially this Christmas season. I'm stressed about gifts, where we are going to be at exactly what time, that I'm being too impatient/hard on the girls.

I'm trying to find my happy place. I love Christmas and giving and seeing the joy in my girls' eyes when they notice something new everyday when it comes to Christmas and learning about both Jesus and Santa.

I am trying to remember all the little things like Campbell singing Jingle Bells and finishing the song off with "ashes, ashes, we all fall down." HILARIOUS! I also want to remember that when Santa and mommy asked her what she wanted for Christmas she said CANDY CANES! THis made me laugh too. She's never had one, probably doesn't realize they aren't that good, but it's something that she really wants! I can't wait to have one in her stocking for Christmas!

And because I just can't finish a post without a picture, I'll pull one from instagram. My sweet girls seeing Santa. Campbell was so excited! Once she got there and he was trying to put his arm around her while she was on his lap, she wasn't too excited about that...but we got her to give us a sweet smile anyway.

I'm hoping to sit down one evening soon, after wrapping presents and get a few posts with pictures of what's really been going on the past few weeks!

Callan Blair- 5 month update

So yesterday was actually the exact 5 month mark and to tell you the truth, it totally snuck up on me. We were at the park with Campbell and something made me look at my phone and notice the date was the 17th. I just can't believe how time is flying by. My baby is getting so big so fast. Makes me sad...

I haven't weighed miss Callan Blair recently. We are easily 17+ pounds. She is pretty long too, but so so chunky! She is wearing 6-9 month clothes, mostly 9 month. Her shoe size is 2, almost about time to move up to a 3. She is wearing size 3 diapers.

Callan has had a rough few weeks of what I think is early teething. She's drooling more, more fussy, waking up in the middle of the night crying (who am I kidding, this is normal for her), and gnawing on her hands. But she has also become more content and happy, if you can imagine that. Her giggles and grins absolutely melt my heart. I love 'em.

She is loving the bouncer. Thankfully, it gives me somewhere else to "put" her to keep her preoccupied and happy for a while. She still rolls from back to tummy. She hasn't cared to roll from tummy to back very often. She is grabbing at toys these days. She has found her feet, but her favorite "toy" is still her hands. And she still loves to blow 'raspberries'. Spit flies everywhere, but it's precious!

She notices Duke now. I caught her watching and smiling at him while he was standing at the back door. She intently watches him walk past her. It's sweet...he on the other hand, could care less about her.

Callan loves her cereal. Oh, I knew this girl could eat, but I bet she will eat anything I put in front of her. Can't wait until the end of this month when I can start her on some more yummy foods. It's hard to believe that I will have a baby eating solid foods very soon!

I know I'm missing something. Hope you enjoy a few of the pics I took this morning. I love this sweet baby so much!

And of course, big sister had to hop in the crib and photobomb! Love these girls with everything in me!

Happy 1/2 birthday baby girl... 2 1/2 to be exact...

So I want to remember the little things...with my girls growing so fast and my "mommy brain" constantly forgetting EVERYTHING...I am trying my hardest to remember and document the everyday, sweet, personal things that make my girls who they are. Campbell Grace turned 2 1/2 today. Hard to believe in 6 months I will have a 3 year old!
I took a few pictures of my first born this morning, totally in her element...in her princess pj gown with her "baby dolls" (any and every stuffed animal we own), and with her favorite book. I also got a video of her singing and just being random. I love this age...she cracks me up and tests me every single day. I'm so glad God chose me to be her momma. She is one of my greatest joys!

I asked Campbell a list of questions...hopefully I can keep doing this every year!

1. What is your favorite color? PINK
2. What is your favorite toy? Shopping cart and pizza in her kitchen
3. What is your favorite fruit? Watermelon
4. What is your favorite TV show? Bubble Guppies & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
5. What is your favorite food for lunch? Chicken noodle soup
6. What is your favorite outfit: My purple dress
7. What is your favorite snack? Popcorn
8. What is your favorite animal? Bear
9. What is your favorite song? Twinkle twinkle little star
10. What is your favorite book? Loveabye Dragon
11. Who is your best friend? Liam & Maddox
12. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Blow bubbles
13. What is your favorite drink? Chocolate milk
14. What is your favorite thing to take with you to bed/anywhere? My blankie
15. What is your favorite breakfast food? Waffle with peanut butter
16. What is your favorite food for dinner? Mac-n-cheese
17. What is your favorite game/activity? To paint!
18. What is your favorite movie? Cinderella
19. What do you want to be when you grow up? Super Campbell (haha, must still have halloween on our mind)

And here are some other things I want to remember:
She always says she "needs" to do something, especially to watch a show. She is repeating and mimicking everything, especially other little kids. She has a fascination for trains and firetrucks. She is such a great big sister...always tries to comfort Callan saying: "it's ok baby sister." She loves to sing and dance. We frequent the library these days and she insists on reading before nap and bedtime!  She is proving to be left handed. She loves to paint and play with play-doh. She finishes almost every sentence with OK or K. She is mostly potty-trained. She always has to have her blankie. And "hold you" has officially turned to "hold me"...this shows me just how much she has grown and matured over the last 6 months.

And here's her video: typical Campbell Grace!

Campbell is my rainbow baby! She shines so bright! She brought a new love into my heart I never thought I could know. Campbell...I love you so much!

Fort Worth Zoo with Grammy & Grandpa

Last week, my parents took a vacation day to take us girls to the zoo. It was a gorgeous day, the weather was perfect, and my girls had a really great time!

Campbell had such a fun time seeing the baby elephants, riding the train and carousel (her favorites), and feeding the giant goldfish! Enjoy a few pics of our day. So so thankful my girls have wonderful grandparents on both sides of the family who take them to do such fun things!

Callan Blair - 4 Months Old

My sweet girl...4 months old today! You are getting so big and so much fun! You are still pretty dramatic and can get mad so easily, but your smiles and giggles can make that all go away! You are a big girl! Here are your 4 month stats:

Height: 25.8 inches (94%)
Weight: 16lb 11oz (90%)
Size 6-9 month clothes and 2-3 diapers

This last week you mastered rolling over from back to tummy! You have been wanting to be held a lot, especially to nap. I'm trying to enjoy these sweet moments, because they are flying by way too fast!

We got out the baby jumper to give you something else to play in. It is still a little bit big, but we are making it work.

You haven't mastered sleeping through the night, although you've done a little better lately.

You have done fairly well at daycare while Mommy works. You still don't take a bottle well, but you nap pretty good there.

Dr. G said we could start cereal this month. I think we will work on that! Maybe it will help you with some of your reflux and sleeping!

We are so blessed by you miss Callan! Stop getting so big so fast...
