Callan Blair - 8 Months Old

Callan Blair,

You had a pretty great month...until this last week :( Sickness, teething, and just the cold weather has put you in a rough spot. You were sleeping through the night finally...until the last few nights...(*deep breath*).

You are a big, big girl! I know last month I said you were filling out 12 month clothing, well...you fill out every bit of it this month. You weigh around 22 lbs (that's according to our scale). You are just a chunk, but we love you oh so much!

You finally got your first tooth. It's still making it's way completely out of your gum, but it finally has broken through! You eat like a champ anyway. You love puffs, baby mum mums, and yogurt melts. You also will chew on pear slices when we cut one up for big sister.

Your main source of mobility is still rolling over, but the past few days you have been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth on your knees. It won't be long, I have a feeling.

Your temper is rearing it's ugly head. If we take something out of your hands that you want, you automatically scream and start crying. It's just pitiful. Giving us just a glimpse of your personality I guess. Your favorite toys are my cell phone, the tv remote, my keys...just about anything that isn't really a toy. And everything goes into your mouth.

You love your momma. You have some separation anxiety. You will hold onto me like a monkey when I try to hand you to anyone, even Daddy. We are going to have to work on that.

Your daddy is the one who can make you laugh out loud. I love the way you look at him! Those gorgeous big blue eyes of yours just light up! You also are pretty fond of your sister! I cherish the sweet looks and grins between you two...and your big sister is pretty smitten with you. She tells you she loves you and kisses you daily! I pray your bond stays close always.

It's very hard to believe in 4 short months I will have a 1 year old. I just need to stop thinking about that and enjoy each day...although most are hard, and long, the years are so short.

I love you baby girl! Happy 8 Months!

A little crusty nose...I hate having a sick baby!

Gummy smile! It won't be that way for long :(

Up, rocking on her knees, any day now she will be crawling.

Of course, big sister had to make an appearance! Love these sweet girls!

Valentine's Day 2014

We had a pretty fun Valentine's this year! Campbell usually attends her "school" party, but this year was invited to one with her neighborhood "boy"friends and when given the choice, she chose them! She sent her valentines to school on Wednesday. Here are the finished product this year!

At her party on Friday, they ate a heart shaped pizza, decorated sugar cookies, and completed a handprint heart canvas craft that turned out so cute! We had such a fun time hanging out with friends and eating!

Campbell got a build-a-bear giftcard for Valentine's, and today, we went and cashed it in. Such a fun, but overwhelming experience...

Another lately post...

Currently I'm sitting in my chair wrapped up in my soft blanket with American Idol on and a huge cup of coffee at my side.

I did the same thing this morning, watching the snow fall outside and enjoying it's beauty. Even with that said, I'm completely over the cold and ready for some steady warmth outside! My girls are getting cabin fever being cooped up so much. We do make our weekly library trips, and have lunch with daddy when we can, but it doesn't constitute a good play at the park! Today we braved the weather and roads to go to gymnastics, and I'm so glad we did! Campbell definitely needs that outlet and to run off some energy!

Callan is getting her first tooth finally, but it is making for an even fussy, whiny, clingy baby. I hate it for her. Campbell on the other hand is getting her 2 year molars on the top, and hasn't complained one bit.

We've been at a really good place lately. The girls are just as sweet and pretty easy going as they can be. I have been giving myself as a mommy more grace, and I feel the difference it has made. I have more patience and overall joy. I'm loving being home with my girls and so grateful to my husband for making it possible.

There's so much more I'm sure, but I'm gonna go chill out in front of the TV before I climb into bed early! Enjoy these pics from earlier and playing in the snow!
