Callan Blair is ONE YEAR OLD, plus a recap of her Pink Lemonade Birthday Party ;)

My goodness how this year has flown. Callan is one year old already. Actually 5 days ago, but who's counting. I'm just glad to be getting a post up.

While the days and months seemed long with 2 little girls, this year has most definitely been one of the fastest of my life. It seems even faster than when Campbell was turning 1. But it has been a year full of rich blessings and joy! We are so thankful for our Callan Blair. She has completed this family and the look she gives her sister, and the hugs and kisses they share, really are priceless. This is what I always looked forward to when I knew I was going to have 2 girls!

We haven't been to the doctor so official stats will be updated next week.

Callan Blair, you are so much fun! I really love this age. While it's extremely busy, it is just so much fun watching you "get" things, laugh, smile, play, waddle ;), babble, play, blink/wink, and so much more!

Callan is walking pretty well these days. Still wobbly, but pretty fast, and so much more steady on her feet than just a few weeks ago. Less and less bumps and bruises. Thank goodness. Oh and she has a monster foot: 5 1/2 W. A little over a month ago she was a 4. What kind of growth spurt is that?

Callan has 4 teeth with 2 emerging any day now. She is still a wonderful eater, and she loves water in her sippy cup. Our transition from bottles to sippy is slower than big sister, and our love for milk is nothing like big sis either. Callan won't make anything easy....why should I expect that now?

Callan is still very much attached to me. I feel like this is on repeat for every month I type an update. But it's true. She only has eyes for her momma!

Callan's personality is pretty great. She's funny, likes to play games, peek-a-boo, especially. She is into carrying shoes around the house, playing in her kitchen, playing with any ball, holding and kissing her baby doll, dancing to music, singing, and anything with her big sis. She will empty the wipes box and mess up the playroom in 5 minutes or less.

She has a temper...and then can be the sweetest thing in the world. We are gonna have to watch out for that one!

We really do love you Callan Blair! You have made this year so much fun and we are looking to a lifetime more! I pray you become a light for Jesus in your own special way. Your daddy and I are blessed to be your parents!

And I'll leave you with a few pics from her birthday party. I love the theme and the way it turned out! She is a little sweet and a little sour just like her pink lemonade!

Way Late Recap of Easter and Campbell's Mermaid Birthday Party

So this is mostly going to be a picture dump of Easter and Campbell's party. We spent Easter with my parents and sister in Lubbock. It was a hard weekend, Callan was pretty sick, and felt like doing nothing. It was sad, but by Sunday, she perked up a little bit! Anyway,  here are a few of the pics...

And here's a few pics from Campbell's 3rd Mermaid Birthday Party!

I wish we would have gotten a pic of everyone that was at her party to help her celebrate! We are so blessed for so many family and friends who came to love on our girl! It was a super fun day!

CAMPBELL is THREE!

Where has the time gone that my first-born is 3 years old now? We had a fun weekend celebrating her birthday with lots of friends and family, and then yesterday, I got to spend some one-on-one time with her with a trip to the Sealife Aquarium, lunch, and shopping!

A little bit about Campbell Grace:

She weighs 32 pounds 6 ounces (73%) and is 38.8 inches tall (87%). She is healthy, active, and we are so thankful for this!

Campbell enjoys her friends, especially Liam, and playing at the park! She is always wanting to be outside! She will sit through any movie...she loves to watch them! She is a singer, and dancer...and always asks her daddy to dance with her when one of the singing competition shows is on! She loves her daddy!

Her thing the past month or so has been to stand on the coffee table and announce: "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I present..." it's anything from her sister and her, to every member of her family, to something silly! She has quite the personality.

She is also getting some attitude. This has been a change lately, and I'm not liking it. Throwing fits, and being a little dramatic....I know it's normal for this age, but we don't have to like it!

She is such a good big sister! She always has a smile on her face when she sees Callan every morning! She hugs and kisses Callie, and watches out for her. She also helps me out with her...which makes her seem even bigger than she is!

Campbell loves arts and crafts. She knows her alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes....She talks like such a big girl....it's hard to believe. She loves to have books read to her before naptime and bedtime! We visit the library frequently!

I know there is so much more, but I'll stop here. I'll end with her yearly questions and answers and photos!

Birthday & Christmas Recap

Yes, I realize this is over a month late, but better late than never. I've been crazy busy, or sick, or dealing with sick kids, or I could probably think of a million other excuses. Sorry, so sorry. But here goes...(warning, picture OVERLOAD)

On December 2 I turned 30 years old. Wow, I thought I would hate to turn 30, but really, I am at the best place in my life. I have two beautiful, healthy girls, and a pretty awesome husband who works so hard for us. I'm still doing nursing a few times a month. This year, Jacob bought me tickets to the Justin Timberlake concert. He also planned a little bowling get together with family and friends.

So, my husband isn't the concert going fellow, especially not to JT, but he kindly offered to buy tickets for me and a few friends. My sister, aunt, and best friend went with me. It was a truly awesome concert! We had so much fun! I grew up on N'SYNC and eventually JT when he went solo. So while I spent a night away from the house, he took good care of the girls, and I couldn't have asked for a better time!

And a birthday isn't a birthday without spending it with family. So we decided bowling might be fun for the kiddos. Haha, well Campbell did it for maybe 5 minutes and was done. She wasn't the least bit interested in it. Thankfully Grammy took her and let her climb all over the Skiball game. She won quite a few tickets that way! It ended with strawberry cake and Baskin Robbins ice cream....my favorites! Thanks for making me feel so special! Here's to a great year!

Now on to Christmas...
we had a very blessed Christmas this year. It was Callan's first Christmas, and the first Christmas that Campbell really was excited and knew about Santa! We had Christmas early at our house, just the four of us...then went to my parents' house for a few days...and eventually on the Jacob's parents' house. Our girls were spoiled with so many goodies and we really enjoyed just being around family. I, unfortunately came down with the flu on Friday after Christmas, and spent the rest of the weekend/next week recovering. Thankfully, no one else around me got it! Praise Jesus! Here's just a few pics that I took of our family of four's Christmas...and a few that Aunt Casey shot while we were at Mo and Poppy's house!

This year, our gingerbread house went roofless, because the roof cookies broke in half, and we didn't have the patience to fix it. Campbell had fun decorating anyway!

This picture sums up Christmas 2013 for me. So blessed to have these two!
