I'm not all that big into Valentine's Day, but I guess when you have kids, the schools/daycare make such a big deal out of ALL the holidays, so you guessed it...I am doing my first set of valentines for Campbell, I have how many more years of this!?!?! At least when she's a little older, she can help and do them herself, right?
Because she's not quite 2, I wanted to do something that didn't really revolve around candy. I don't know how the other mothers are about it. I mean, she loves a good bag of m&m's and I'm ok with it, but lots of parents aren't.
So, I happened upon a blog I follow quite a bit back in January that had some cute valentine printables. You can see them HERE.
I copied the WRITE ONE valentine and got pencils and note pads from the dollar bin at Target. Since I had such an adorable pic of Campbell from her photoshoot, I decided to use it and make my own print out...which I created on picmonkey.com. It was super easy. I printed it out on photo paper, so the quality looked good and then made them. I added a few heart stickers and of course, I couldn't go without a little "goodie" so some Dora gummies it ended up being. I'm not a huge Dora fan, but that's what I found. I'm happy with them! I also made her teachers/director one with a larger notepad! Easy, inexpensive, and sweet!
Here's the pic/photo I used, and here are the finished products:

Cattle drive at the Stockyards
I took Campbell this morning to the Stockyards in Fort Worth. My mom's office is down there, so we met her to see the cattle drive and have lunch. Campbell is very interested in animals...especially cows and horses. And when she saw the cowboys she would say "Yee Haw"...I mean how cute is that? We even got to sit on one of the longhorns to get our picture taken. She wasn't sure what to think. We weren't up there long and she was like..."down." We will have many more visits to the stockyards in our future!

21 Months...
My amazing girl,
You are 21 months old today. I am so loving this phase you are in. But what phase do I not love? Except for your cranky, whiny, clingy, purposeful defiant moments of each stage! I love you and tell you EVERY day.
Yesterday we got to see pics of your sweet little sister growing inside mommy's tummy. You are still pretty clueless that in less than 5 months your life will change dramatically. I pray you take it all in stride and it is the best change.
You are cracking me up these days and I hope I can remember all the things you are doing now. Here's a list of your cute little personality shining:
~ You say "yee-haw" when you see a horse, or cowboy, or hear country music...so darn adorable!
~ You are still an outside loving girl...everyday (weather permitting) we go to the park to slide and swing and play in the sand box, and walk around, and visit the ducks.
~ You mimick and repeat so much of what anyone says. You grab my hands or daddy's hands and say "Come On".
~ You love breakfast just like your momma! This is the meal you eat best everyday! I can't blame you.
~ You are becoming much more selfish...saying mine and grabbing things away from other kids. I don't like this, but I know it's a part of your development. We are teaching you to say sorry and to be nice. There are still occasional tantrums though.
~ You still love music and dancing.
~ You are still loving books, but it has now become a major part of your bed time routine.
~ You still let mommy rock and sing to you before a nap and bed, but when you're done with it you say "night night" and lunge toward your crib.
~ You are becoming very interested in the potty. You've even gone on it once or twice. We got you your own little one, but have yet to dive into that!
~ I think I will write this one for years: But MICKEY is still your favorite, along with Minnie, Daisy, and Donald :)
~ Right now, your favorite food for lunch or dinner is usually soup. You say it so cute! You are also a pretty mean spaghetti "noodle" eater!
~ You are learning your colors and numbers. I am so proud of you. Your favorite color is still yellow!
~ Oh how could I forget? You my dear are mimicking, like I said...and last weekend you watched Duke pee on a tree and proceeded to do it too. I wasn't quick enough to get a pic of you with your leg hiked up, but I did get a pic of you squatting. LOL...I mean I was crying...I was laughing so hard. Your daddy, Grammy, and Grandpa were all there to witness this. You are too funny.
~ Gosh, I know I'm forgetting so many things. But just know you are one loved little girl. I pray we can be the parents God needs us to be to lead and guide you to Him. We pray for your salvation. We are so excited and blessed to watch you grow and learn. My heart is full with joy and love for you!
Here is an instagram collage and some sweet pics I got for your 21 month/valentine photo shoot!

Only 80% sure...
Well, of course, baby wasn't the most cooperative. Just like miss Campbell in utero. But Dr. B is about 80% sure baby #2 is a..............................GIRL! He saw no boy parts whatsoever, but was never given a clear shot of the girly parts. We will go back in 4 weeks for another doctor appointment and to do a gender confirmation sono, but my heart is telling me I'm gonna have 2 girls so we are going with it! Of course, we won't do anything drastic until we know for sure :)
Baby looked so healthy and exactly how she should. What a blessing! I'm just a little overjoyed that miss Campbell is going to grow up with a sister. There is nothing like that special bond! I feel like I can start thinking about names and actually preparing to have another baby around. So, so thrilled. My heart is overflowing.
Thank you Jesus for this precious child!
